We welcome you to the 2018 ASID CA Peninsula Design Awards Competition!
A prestigious award bestowed upon the most talented designers in the CA Peninsula Chapter - Carmel By the Sea to South San Francisco. We encourage all ASID CA Peninsula Chapter members to enter for an opportunity to gain recognition for their hard work, make their designs the benchmark of the industry, and to inspire a new generation of students and emerging professionals. This years winners will be published in LUXE INTERIORS + DESIGN Magazine and be presented an award at our Design Awards Celebration in August.
We have moved to this online platform to streamline the entry, submission and judging process.
All submission forms, file uploads and payment fees will be handled through this site. After creating an entry application, our committee will determine if you are an active member of the chapter in good standing. Immediately following this short review (typically within 24 hrs) you may begin working on your forms and uploading the required files. You can save your work as you go and return to the site as often as needed, but not after finalizing and submitting the entry. All submission materials and entry fee payments must be completed and submitted by the submission deadline.
- All information will be used as entered on the website gallery and for publication. Please be thorough and consistent in completing your field entries and double-check for spelling errors.
- Submissions are to remain annonymous. Do not include firm logos, names of firms or designers on your submissions.
- Use N/A or other appropriate text in fields that are mandatory if there is no info or it's not pertinent to your project. If in doubt contact the Competition Chair, Lilley Yee or the Chapter Adminsitrator.
- Deadlines: Entry and Payment by May 31st, 2018, Project Submission by June 25th, 2018.
► I will be submitting three projects. Should I complete three registration forms? Yes, you will need to complete three separate entry applications.
► Can I include the project name in the project PDF? Yes, you can—just make sure you don’t identify the submitting firm or designer. Submissions are to remain anonymous.
► What happens if I exceed the 10MB file limit? You will be asked once to reduce the size of the file and resubmit your project.
► How will I know my submission has been received? Upon submitting your entry, you will receive a confirmation e-mail message containing your submission details.
► What should I do if I did not receive a confirmation e-mail containing my submission details? First, check your junk mail folder - the most likely problem is that your spam filter sent the e-mail there. If you don't find it in your junk mail folder, please contact the chapter program administrator for assistance.
► Do I have to start and finish my submission in one session? No. You can start your submission and come back to finish it before the competition deadline June 25th, 2018 - 9:00pm (PT).
► Can I revise my submission after I've hit the "Save and Finalize" button? Yes, but you must contact the program's administrator to request access to make changes through the portal.
► Can we submit a few days late? No. In the interest of fairness to all participants, no late entries will be accepted.
► How will our PDF be viewed? Jurors will view projects on both small (laptops) and large screens. As long as your images are web-ready (150 dpi), there will be no loss of fidelity.
